What affect does your security service agreement have when an incident occurs?  What role does your agreement play when trying to collect from an uncooperative client?  Most contract security providers take little time to understand the importance of each provision in their agreements.  This presentation will explore the important provisions and how they payout in litigation.  The presentation will also explore the relationship post orders and modifications, both written and oral, play in service agreements.  Best practices for negotiating and drafting agreements will also be addressed.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify weaknesses in existing security provisions.
  • Identify best practices for negotiating, drafting, and defending service agreements
  • Understand common contract mistakes and how to avoid them.
