Security practitioners can benefit from having a sound understanding of the costs necessary to manage their operations; they need to be business managers as well as security professionals.  This webinar provides a detailed review of budgeting & finance for security professionals.  The session includes discussions on forecasting, multi-year strategic planning, capital investments and expense management as well as how to identify security costs related to safety, regulatory and customer requirements. The webinar reviews strategies for dealing with security cost reduction requests and how to report the subsequent risk to the business. Other topics include the importance of documenting and retaining information on budget transfers and the impact of unmanageable expenses on the security budget.

stephen baker.pngStephen D. Baker, CPP, is the Managing Director of Global Security at State Street Corporation. He joined State Street in 1996 and is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide security systems and policies & standards to protect company personnel and assets globally. He is responsible for setting Global Security strategy and works closely with business units and functions to ensure program synergies are aligned to meet regulatory requirements and customer needs. Prior to joining State Street, Steve was the Senior Regional Security Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University as well as certificates in Security Leadership and Executive Management from Georgetown University, the Kellogg School of Management and The Wharton School. 

 Cancellation and Transfer Policy

​​​For a full refund or transfer credit, written requests must be received by ASIS at least three business days before the start date of the program. Those received less than three days prior will be charged a $25 cancellation/transfer fee.
