The webinars in this series include: HR for Security Professionals, Finance for Security Professionals, Writing Security Policies & Procedures, and ADA Compliance for Security Organizations. Registration for each webinar must be completed individually.

Establishing an effective compliance program is a necessity to protect an organization. Developing the compliance initiative based upon recognized standards and best practices is key for program credibility. Using the seven (7) elements of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines as program development standards, this webinar provides an overview of the techniques necessary to identify your risk universe, perform a risk assessment, develop policies and procedures, establish lines of communication, and implement a risk mitigation plan. If you would like to learn more about compliance or your job responsibilities include creating, maintaining, or leading your compliance program, this dynamic session is for you.

Judith W. Spain, J.D., CCEP®

Manhattanville College

Judith W. Spain, J.D., CCEP, is a practicing attorney, licensed in OH, PA, KY, and NY, who has been a faculty member for the ASIS Assets Protection Course ™: Practical Applications for over twenty years. She speaks on the topic of employment law for security professionals.

Presently, Dr. Spain is the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Manhattanville College where she is responsible for developing and implementing a college-wide compliance program. Previously, Dr. Spain worked for at Eastern Kentucky University for over 20 years. She was a tenured professor in the College of Business and Technology and served as MBA Director and Interim Assistant Dean for Business. Dr. Spain served as University Counsel for 7 years before assuming the role of Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. In that role, she designed a University-wide compliance initiative.

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Spain worked in private practice in the area of employee relations as well as working in the public/corporate sector as an Assistan​t City Solicitor for the City of Pittsburgh and as a Staff Associate, Labor Relations Department, United States Steel Corporation. Dr. Spain and her husband, Norman Spain, J.D., own Spain and Spain, Inc., a loss prevention and employee relations consulting business. Dr. Spain has an active consulting​ practice in the field of ethics and compliance.​​

 Cancellation and Transfer Policy

For a full refund or transfer credit, written requests must be received by ASIS at least three business days before the start date of the program. Those received less than three days prior will be charged a $25 cancellation/transfer fee.
