The third webinar in the ASIS Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) series continues the discussion with Lawrence J. Fennelly and Marianna Perry as they provide helpful tips on working with architects to "design out crime." Picking up from their previous session (Updates in CPTED: Strategies for the 21st Century), the presenters discuss how to use drones in designing through CPTED. This webinar then focuses on how to work with architects to conduct a written security assessment and cites research, case studies, and personal experiences relative to CPTED.

As a special feature, the presenters will describe "never-before-seen" material from Tim Crowe, author of The Three D's of CPTED: Design, Designation-Definition. They provide a checklist of 20 points to "design out crime."

Learning Objectives

Attendees will be able to:

  • Work more effectively with architects on assessing a site.
  • List the twenty points of how to design out crime.
  • Determine how to use drones to support crime prevention.
