IWCE 2018 is a Must-Attend Event for Critical Communications Technology Professionals

07 January 2018

International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) 2018 will take place March 5-9, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The conference and expo is tailored to critical communications technology professionals who are looking to receive the latest developments, trends and technology in wireless communications.

The Exhibit Hall will feature over 400 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and trends in the communications technology industry, with special features including the App Center, Wearable Technology Pavilion, and Drone Zone.

IWCE also offers the most comprehensive education program in the industry with over 160 workshops, short courses, power sessions, town hall meetings, and trainings. Conference tracks will cover topics including FirstNet, 911 & Public Safety, Interoperability & Parallel Networks, Spectrum & Signal Optimization, Transformative Tech, Push-to-Talk, Smart Cities & Critical Infrastructure, Planning & Preparation, and Cybersecurity. Additional educational opportunities will be offered through co-located events, IWCE's Network Infrastructure Forum, and the ETA International Education Forum.

Two new programs will also be held this year: The Women of Wireless Workshop offers a series of presentations about successful habits of effective women leaders, the successes and challenges of being at the table as "pioneers", and how women in tech is timely and relevant. The Attracting Millennials to a Rewarding Career in Wireless Course covers the graying of the wireless workforce. Industry emphasis on IP has created a gap in wireless education, while more technologies demand wireless and RF access.

Special events include keynote presentations from Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO, AT&T Business, and Michael Poth, CEO, FirstNet, to discuss the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) network and the progress the network has made over the past year. The IWCE General Session, entitled "Rethinking Wireless", will discuss the changing wireless landscape and will provide an overview of many of the key concepts to modern wireless networks and what they all mean to current wireless and radio networks.
