The Roy Bordes Award for Physical Security provides a customized, two-day, locally delivered physical security education program for one chapter. Established in 2009, the award pays the cost of instructors, including travel and accommodations. Event planning and execution are the host chapter's responsibility.

Congratulations to the 2015 winner of the Bordes Award—Buenos Aires, Argentina Chapter 215. The chapter leaders used the award to hold a November 3-4 Facility Design Seminar, which brought more than 170 security professionals together for high-caliber education, networking, and peer-to-peer sharing of best practices.
Attendees included ASIS International President Dave Davis, CPP, ASIS CEO Peter J. O'Neil, ASIS Board member Jaime Owens, CPP, SRVP of Region 8 Julio Fumagalli, CPP, and RVP of Group 8C Pablo Colombres, CPP.
Security professionals from across the region attended including authorites and members from Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, United States, and Uruguay.
The sessions, which were delivered in English and simultaneously translated, were led by ASIS Security Architecture and Engineering Council Co-Chairs René Rieder Jr, CPP, PSP and Mark Schreiber, CPP.
