Q:

How do Councils work?

a:
Each year the ASIS president-elect appoints the council chairs. In turn, the chairs select council members based upon their subject matter expertise. Chairs also oversee committee appointments. Mandatory committees include: membership, subject matter experts, Annual Seminar, session reviewer, and certification liaison. Councils meet throughout the year, either in person or by conference call.
