ASIS International is deeply saddened to share the passing of Nicolas Le Saux, CPP, former chapter chairman of the ASIS 249 chapter and the European Advisory Council. He was a respected professional whose contributions and presence left a meaningful mark on those who had the privilege to work alongside him. 

Throughout his career, Nicolas was recognized for his commitment to excellence, his strong sense of integrity, and his thoughtful approach to complex challenges. He brought both rigor and humanity to his work, consistently striving to elevate standards while supporting colleagues and partners with generosity and professionalism. 

Nicolas played a key role in strengthening ties between the professional and institutional security communities. Notably, he was instrumental in the development and signature of a partnership between the ASIS France Chapter and the EOGN (École des Officiers de la Gendarmerie Nationale), helping to foster dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between sectors. 

Deeply committed to advancing the field of security, Nicolas maintained a continuous involvement in research. Holding a PhD in law, he contributed to the intellectual and academic development of the profession, combining theoretical insight with practical expertise. His dedication to research reflected his belief in the importance of informed, forward-looking security practices. 

Beyond his professional achievements, Nicolas was known for his ability to connect with others. He valued collaboration and believed in sharing knowledge and experience. Those who worked with him remember not only his expertise, but also his calm demeanor, his reliability, and his willingness to mentor and guide others. 

The loss of Nicolas Le Saux is felt deeply by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, dedication, and thoughtful leadership that will continue to inspire. 

The ASIS community extends its sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.
