Industry News: Australian Bank Installs Turnstiles

CLEAR AND SECURE ACCESS

The IMB Bank building in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, installed a series of Boon Edam entrances, including revolving doors, slimline optical turnstiles, and a swinging access gate. When IMB took up residence in the new facility in 2021, it wanted to balance an open and welcoming entrance for visitors with the ability to secure people, valuable data, and intellectual property. The building’s exterior features two Crystal TQ all-glass revolving doors, leading entrants to the main lobby. The lobby hosts three Speedlane Lifeline Swing optical turnstiles, including a wider one to accommodate access for people with disabilities. Another location in the facility features a Winglock Swing access gate, separating a designated meeting space. The turnstiles provide the bank with greater access control and notify security about instances of tailgating or access breaches.
