ASIS International - Military

ASIS Chapters and Military Liaison Council (MLC)

One of the greatest benefits of ASIS membership and certification is professional networking. Military personnel are engaged within ASIS at both the local chapter level and at the national level in groups such as the Military Liaison Council (MLC).

Members and volunteer leaders within these groups serve as a valuable resource for information on a host of professional issues related to your career within the military, as well as information and services for those preparing to transition to a second career.

ASIS Chapters

Many ASIS chapters have appointed military liaisons and certification representatives to answer your questions and assist you. Some offer special education programs and networking events hosted locally where you can meet practitioners from the military, as well as the private and public sectors. These venues provide a wealth of opportunities to exchange best practices and keep pace with emerging trends.

Military Liaison Council (MLC)

The MLC services the specific professional needs of those members who are employed by the military. The work of the council promotes understanding, cooperation, and synergy among private security, ASIS, and the military services. The MLC also leverages ASIS' certifications and education programs to improve the professional competency of practitioners within the military.
