Law Enforcement

ASIS Chapters and Law Enforcement Liaison Council (LELC)

One of the greatest benefits of ASIS membership and certification is professional networking. Law enforcement personnel are engaged within ASIS at both the local chapter level and at the national level in groups such as the Law Enforcement Liaison Council (LELC).

Members and volunteer leaders within these groups serve as a valuable resource for information on a host of professional issues related to your career within the law enforcement sector, as well as information and services for those preparing to transition to a second career.

ASIS Chapters

Many ASIS chapters have appointed law enforcement liaisons and certification representatives to answer your questions and assist you. Some offer special education programs and networking events hosted locally where you can meet practitioners from law enforcement, as well as the private and public sectors. These venues provide a wealth of opportunities to exchange best practices and keep pace with emerging trends.

Law Enforcement Liaison Council (LELC)

The LELC services the specific professional needs of those members who are employed in law enforcement. The council is comprised of a broad range of both law enforcement (LE) and private security professionals (PS). In its work, the council's goal is to foster and facilitate strategic alliances with essential stakeholders within the LE-PS community through the exchange of ideas and information.
