ASIS offers three board certifications, including two specialty certifications:

Certified Protection Professional

Board Certified in Security Management

Established in 1977, the CPP credential is widely acknowledged as the highest recognition a security practitioner can earn and demonstrates expertise in security management principles, concepts, technology, and best practices.

Professional Certified Investigator

Board Certified in Investigations

The PCI designation concentrates on specialized skills in security investigations, including case evaluations and management strategies. This credential confirms a practitioner's ability to collect information through effective use of surveillance, interviews, and interrogations.

Physical Security Professional

Board Certified in Physical Security

A specialty certification, the PSP is awarded to security practitioners who have demonstrated knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk analysis; integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation, and evaluation of security measures.
