The following will be of great importance to ASIS members with security management responsibilities in critical infrastructures.

On April 15, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its proposed rule (PDF) for handling critical infrastructure information. Written comments on the rule may be submitted to DHS on or before June 16, 2003. Details are included in the notice.

ASIS members who submit written comments to DHS are asked to send a copy to ASIS Government Affairs at: responses@asisonline.org. ASIS will compile copies of the responses, share this information with our members, and work with DHS in advocating appropriate changes.
