ASIS Northern Nevada Chapter Captures the 2011 Roy Bordes Physical Security Award
The 2011 Roy Bordes Physical Security Award was presented by the ASIS Foundation to ASIS Chapter #164 – Northern Nevada. The award, presented annually to an ASIS chapter, provides up to $5000 to cover the fees, travel, accommodations and expenses for two instructors to lead a physical security education program locally.
"Our goals for this year were to increase membership and participation," commented Chapter Chair Darrell Clifton, CPP, "To reach this strategic goal, we are working to improve our educational offerings." Clifton believes this award will go a long way to support the chapter in reaching these goals and credits the win to the hard work and dedication of Jay Martin, CPP, and Mark Crosby—both of whom were instrumental in putting together the winning application.
"We will leverage our extensive network in the Reno area, as well as the Northwestern U.S. to deliver a first-class physical security program applicable to a wide-range of security professionals."
