Two Foundation scholarships launched to earn degrees at University of Phoenix
The Foundation and University of Phoenix will award two (2) full-tuition scholarships to two ASIS members in 2012. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete an undergraduate or master’s degree program through the College of Criminal Justice and Security at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online. Applications are being accepted now through April 2, 2012. Find out more
ASIS staff presents $25,000 in calling cards to wounded U.S. soldiers on December 20
ASIS Vice President Jim Evans and Foundation Manager Barbara Buzzell were joined by ASIS members Kevin Doss, CPP, PSP and Bill Foos for the presentation of pre-paid calling cards, which totaled more than $25,000 in value, to wounded U.S. soldiers recovering at the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The funds were raised by the Foundation’s Lines of Hope Campaign. READ MORE
ASIS Northern Nevada Chapter Captures the 2011 Roy Bordes Physical Security Award
The 2011 Roy Bordes Physical Security Award was presented by the ASIS Foundation to ASIS Chapter #164 – Northern Nevada. The award, presented annually to an ASIS chapter, provides up to $5000 to cover the fees, travel, accommodations and expenses for two instructors to lead a physical security education program locally.
