Lines of Hope Annual CampaignThe support of family and friends is a critical component to the recovery of injured U.S. soldiers. With so many being separated by long distances from their greatest source of encouragement, the ASIS Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Lines of Hope, a new annual campaign to raise funds for the provide calling cards for wounded U.S. soldiers. ASIS member Kevin T. Doss, CPP, PSP, began the effort to help soldiers stay in touch with loved ones in 2007 by raising funds to purchase prepaid calling cards for the wounded soldiers at the local chapter level. The importance of the soldiers needs have gained support at the national level. With solid support from the ASIS Foundation and corporate sponsors, the program has delivered phone cards valued at over $72,000 to recovering troops and their families. The ASIS Foundation invites you to support America's heroes in their journey to recovery by donating to Lines of Hope. ContributionsDonations to the campaign will be accepted online through the ASIS Foundation website, as well as by mail. Individual members and friends, as well as organizations, are encouraged to give at any time throughout the year. Presentation of Calling CardsEach December, telephone cards will be purchased and presented to soldiers and their families in treatment at the Walter Reed National Military Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD.
