News2010 Student Writing Competition - Opens April 2Sponsored by the ASIS Council on Academic Programs in Universities and Colleges and administered by the ASIS Foundation, the ASIS International Student Writing Competition rewards students who conduct research, engage in thoughtful deliberation, and write an academic paper between 3,000 and 6,000 words on an issue relevant to the security and assets protection profession. The undergraduate winner will receive $1,000, and the graduate winner $1,500. Each winner also receives a complimentary registration to the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits. Two students will win Honorable Mention awards of $500 each. Events2010 Golf ClassicMonday, October 11, 2010 Put together a foursome or two from your chapter and plan to participate in the Foundation's annual golf tournament, held in conjunction with the annual ASIS Seminar and Exhibits. ASIS members and friends from around the world gather each year for this special fundraising event, which mixes networking and some friendly competition with lighthearted fun. Sponsorships are also available. Chapter Donors Recognized at Seminar LuncheonThursday, October 14, 2010 Join ASIS leadership to honor and recognize the contributions of ASIS Chapter donors. DonationsEach year, local ASIS chapters from around the world generously direct donations to the Foundation. Funds support the core mission of the Foundation in its work to develop programs and research to educate and inform security practitioners, as well as to provide for special awards and scholarships.
