ASIS Announces Person of the Year

Photo of John MillerThe New York City chapter will present its 2012 Person of the Year award to John Miller, senior correspondent for CBS News, during the awards luncheon on Thursday,
April 26.

After working as a television journalist from 1973 to 1994, Miller served briefly as New York City Deputy Police Commissioner from 1994-1995. From 1995 to 2002, Miller was an ABC news correspondent, securing an on-screen interview with Osama bin Laden in 1998. In 2002, he became co-anchor of the ABC news broadcast "20/20." From there he went on to serve as head of the Counterterrorism and Criminal Intelligence Bureau of the Major Crimes Division of the Los Angeles Police Department before joining the FBI in 2005.

Miller has co-authored two books and is the recipient of nine Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia Award for his investigative reporting.

Tickets: $75 each. Tables of 10 can be reserved. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or on-site on the day of the event. Those registering for educational sessions or the CSO Roundtable Spring Conference will receive a luncheon ticket as part of their registration fee.
