Problems and Solutions of Facial Recognition and Investigations

FUNDAMENTAL

The Pennsylvania Justice Network's Facial Recognition software (JFRS) uses computer technology to analyze and digitally map characteristics of the human face for comparison against identified offender photographs. If no match exists, investigators then submit the suspect image to the JFRS Watchlist service. The JFRS Watchlist monitors photographs added to CPIN and immediately alerts investigators to potential matches. Hear about all the issues associated with planning, training, and deploying facial recognition software.
