We're very pleased to report that José Mariano Beltrame, the Public Security Secretary of Rio de Janeiro, has agreed to be a keynote speaker. Mr. Beltrame is responsible for the government's successful campaign to pacify the city's favelas and drive out drug dealers and other criminals. He'll provide an update on the program, one which is certain to have a tremendous positive effect on the future of Rio de Janeiro.

Networking Reception
In addition to the educational program, attendees are welcome to join a reception featuring live music on Monday, December 6, hosted by Socrates Ltd. The event, held at on the rooftop of the JW Marriott Copacabana, will feature canapés, hors d'oeuvres and a sushi bar, as well as caipirinhas, whisky, beer, sparkling wine, and soft drinks.
Built in 1914 on the promontory of the old Our Lady of Copacabana chapel, the Forte de Copacabana was one of Rio's premier defenses against attack. Its original features can still be seen.
