Conferences Conferences ASIS International's conferences attract more than 25,000 security professionals annually from around the world. Each conference is comprised of multiple plenary sessions on a wide range of topics.
Classroom Programs ASIS offers more than 20 industry-specific programs annually to help you grow professionally and increase your personal knowledge of security practices. Classroom programs range from one to four days and are held in the United States. Contract Professional Development Programs ASIS is pleased to offer your organization the convenience and benefits of hosting your own private professional development programs at a location and date of your choice. Select from an extensive offering of existing classroom and computer-based programs, or customize classroom training to meet the requirements or interest of your target audience. Certification Review Courses ASIS offers review courses for those planning to take the industry certification exams: Certified Protection Professional (CPP®), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI®), and Physical Security Professional (PSP®). Review courses provide attendees with a unique opportunity to review their experience and knowledge and prepare a study plan for the certification exam. eLearning ASIS realizes that you can't always get away. Wharton/ASIS Program for Security Executives ASIS International, in collaboration with Wharton School, one of the world's leading business schools, hosts the Wharton/ASIS Program for Security Executives annually at the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. Designed exclusively for security executives, the intensive two-week certificate course instructs participants in core business skills and provides tools to build a strong, effective business case for security. Join colleagues from Fortune 1000 companies for this powerful professional development program where participants master the critical business skills necessary to effectively present a business case for security to your organization's senior management. Build and enhance your knowledge and expertise in finance, marketing, strategy and management. Both weeks are required for completion. ASIS has four conferences that have annual Calls for Presentations and one program that also has a Call for Demonstrations. Member and non-members are encouraged to submit a proposal. Proposals are limited to two (2) proposals per person. After the Call has closed, a committee will review all proposals submitted. Then a Selection Committee reviews all of the submitted proposals and determines which proposals are accepted into the final program for each conference. Instructors ASIS Faculty consists of known experts in the field with years of industry experience, who are evaluated annually on their performance. Visit the instructor resources page. However, your registration fee for the day of your presentation is waived. Speaker Policy Speakers for council-sponsored workshops are generally chosen from among council members or recognized experts arranged by program chairmen. If you are interested in joining a council, please send an email to councils@asisonline.org with your contact information and the council you are interested in joining. A full list of councils is available at http://www.asisonline.org/councils/index.xml. Speakers at these programs participate on a volunteer basis (i.e., without fee). Speakers for non-council-sponsored workshops (i.e. Review Programs, Assets Protection Program) are generally chosen from industry experts and leaders in the field. Effective 1/1/08: ASIS programs are eligible for CPP®, PCI®, and PSP® Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. Each 50-minute instruction hour is worth one CPE.
