Conferences

Conferences ASIS International's conferences attract more than 25,000 security professionals annually from around the world. Each conference is comprised of multiple plenary sessions on a wide range of topics.

Classroom Programs

ASIS offers more than 20 industry-specific programs annually to help you grow professionally and increase your personal knowledge of security practices. Classroom programs range from one to four days and are held in the United States and Canada.

Certification Review Courses

ASIS offers review courses for those planning to take the industry certification exams: Certified Protection Professional (CPP™), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI™), and Physical Security Professional (PSP™). Review courses provide attendees with a unique opportunity to review their experience and knowledge and prepare a study plan for the certification exam.

ASIS realizes that you can't always get away. Affordable, Web-based learning helps you stay on top of important security issues and develops new skills - 24/7 - without the expense of leaving town.

  • Webinars: Fully interactive online education programs bring the latest information on hot topics, critical issues, best practices, and special interests to your home, chapter meeting, desktop, or conference room. Industry experts host live events that are short - only 100 minutes - engaging, and to the point. Participate by yourself or with a group, ask questions, make comments, provide insight. Through on-demand replay, registered participants may enjoy the program twice within 30-days of the live event - at absolutely no additional cost.
  • Online Courses: Select from a variety of online programs and receive your education at your convenience!
  • Online Certification Reviews: Comprehensive, practical training tools designed to help you master the key content areas covered in the certification exams. Practice test questions with immediate feedback help identify areas for further study and gauge your readiness to take the actual exam. Select the complete course or only the modules you want. CPP Online Review and PSP Online Review include unlimited access to learning content for a full 12 months.

Call for Presentations and Call for Demonstrations

ASIS has four conferences that have annual Calls for Presentations and one program that also has a Call for Demonstrations. Member and non-members are encouraged to submit a proposal. Proposals are limited to two (2) proposals per person. After the Call has closed, a committee will review all proposals submitted. Then a Selection Committee reviews all of the submitted proposals and determines which proposals are accepted into the final program for each conference.

Speaker Policy

Speakers for council-sponsored workshops are generally chosen from among council members or recognized experts arranged by program chairmen. If you are interested in joining a council, please send an email to councils@asisonline.org with your contact information and the council you are interested in joining. A full list of councils is available at http://www.asisonline.org/councils/index.xml. Speakers at these programs participate on a volunteer basis (i.e., without fee). Speakers for non-council-sponsored workshops (i.e. Review Programs, Assets Protection Program) are generally chosen from industry experts and leaders in the field.

Continuing Education

Effective 1/1/08: ASIS programs are eligible for CPP™, PCI™, and PSP™ Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. Each 50-minute instruction hour is worth one CPE.
