The core program in the APC Series, this comprehensive security course is designed to assist security professional in building a career in assets protection. It covers the fundamental aspects of assets protection and security management for individuals new to the profession or provides a useful review for anyone reentering the field. APC I can also serve as a refresher course for more experienced security practitioners and those entering private security, as well as an overview for non-security personnel. This course provides a solid basis for advanced development and is essential for all professionals involved in the protection of assets. Security information-from investigative work and risk analysis to workplace violence, legal issues, and physical protection systems is covered. Course materials include selected chapters from the Protection of Assets (POA) Manual (CD) and session handouts.
