Appearance of Sponsor Notices & Announcements

General Comments

The appearance of sponsor notices, announcements, sponsorship and advertising should be in "good taste" and non-controversial.

Sponsors can be any type, as long as they are professional and of interest to the majority of people the website serves. Products and services that primarily target only one gender are not appropriate to sponsor or advertise on an ASIS website.

Chapter members that belong to a national or international security sales or service company may advertise on their local chapter's or region's website, but the chapter may not market to the national or international office to do so. This conflicts with the marketing policy and procedures of ASIS International.

Agreements for advertising or sponsorships must be in writing. The site should clearly state that paid or free advertising/sponsorships are not an endorsement of the product or services by the website host nor ASIS International.
