Professional Certified Investigator (PCI™) Application Process

Potential applicants for the PCI™ examination should first review the eligibility requirements. If you believe that you meet the experience, ethical, and/or educational requirements to sit for the PCI™ exam, continue to the PCI™ Examination Application. Complete the application in full and submit it with the fee to ASIS.

Applicants will be notified of their eligibility status after applications are reviewed. The application review process typically takes two to three weeks. Eligible candidates will receive information about exam procedures.

If you are found to be ineligible for the examination because of length of experience, you may request that your application be held until the minimum experience requirement is met (if two years or less).

Application fees are nonrefundable. If your application is rejected for any other reason, only the testing fee ($200 for members, $250 for non-members) will be refunded.
