These fees apply to paper and pencil tests administered in Australia (Perth, Queensland), Ecuador, Jamaica, New Zealand, Panama, and Trinidad/Tobago.

If you are found to be ineligible for the examination because of length of experience, you may request that your application be held until the minimum experience requirement is met (if two years or less).

Refunds

The fee structure includes an application fee of $100. Application fees are non-refundable. If your application is rejected for any reason, only the testing fee portion will be refunded. The Computer Based Test - (CBT) refund is currently $200 for members, and $350 for non-members. The Paper and Pencil refund is currently $100 for members, and $250 for non-members. Testing fees will be returned or credited to your account.

Submitted applications that are not approved, expire after two years and all fees are forfeited. The certification department contacts all candidates who have submitted incomplete applications. It is important that requested information is provided so that eligibility to test is approved.

Application and testing fees for approved candidates that do not test within their two year testing period are forfeited.

  • VA Assistance: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has approved the CPP® exam for reimbursement through the G.I. Bill education benefits. Up to a maximum of $2,000 per test can be recompensed in exam costs, but not to exceed the actual cost of the test. Benefits can still be received to retake a test that was previously failed.     You may receive this benefit if you are eligible for:
    • The Montgomery G.I. Bill (also called the MGIB or Chapter 30)
    • VEAP (also called Chapter 32), or
    • Dependents Educational Assistance (also called DEA or Chapter 35)
