Introduction:
The ASIS Professional Certification Board (PCB) established
this site primarily to assist ASIS Chapters enhance or develop programs to help
candidates prepare for the certification examinations. The PCB recognizes that
some ASIS members may not be able to participate in Chapter preparation programs,
so some of the information may be helpful for individual in those circumstances
as well.
While this information is taken from the experience with the CPP™ Program, it could be used as a
template for the new Professional Certified Investigator (PCI™) and Physical Security Professional
(PSP™) certifications until a sufficient amount of relevant data is gathered specific to those
candidates.
The site is designed to be an informal information-sharing resource to eliminate reinventing the
CPP™ preparation wheel. Many chapters have done an exceptional job organizing and presenting
study/review programs and some can point to a high level of success by participants in their programs.
The PCB does not officially sanction any of the programs or study methods listed herein. We recommend
that Chapters or individuals directly contact contributors to this site for further information about
their programs.
